Chippewa Venison And Wild Rice Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 lb. shoulder of venison, cut into bite size pieces
    2 qt. water
    2 yellow onions, quartered
    2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. cooked wild rice
Preparation
    Combine venison, water and onions and simmer, uncovered, for 3 hours, then add salt, pepper and wild rice.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Uncover and cook 20 minutes more until rice is tender.
