Blackberry Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    2 c. blackberries, crushed
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Put 2 cups sugar in saucepan, add enough water to moisten sugar.
    Put berries in pan.
    Boil 10 minutes.
    Add 2 more cups sugar and boil 20 to 30 minutes.
    Pour in jars and seal.
