Hearty Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    minced garlic
    1 can beef bouillon
    3 c. boiling water
    2 (1 lb. 12 oz.) cans Italian tomatoes
    1 c. red cooking wine
    1 tsp. Italian herbs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. beef Rice-A-Roni
    4 c. frozen mixed vegetables
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in large kettle, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
    Add onion and garlic.
    Cook, stirring occasionally until soft.
    Stir in beef bouillon, water, tomatoes, wine, herbs, salt and pepper.
    Bring to boil; lower heat and simmer 30 minutes. Add rice and vegetables.
    Simmer 20 minutes longer.
    Makes 10 to 12 servings.
    Freezes well.
    This is thick soup; when reheated, add beef bouillon and water.
