Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium head lettuce
1 c. celery, diced
4 eggs, hard-cooked and sliced
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, uncooked
1/2 c. green pepper, diced
8 strips bacon, fried and crumbled
1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation

Tear lettuce into small bite-size pieces and place in 9 x 13-inch dish or Tupperware.
Layer remainder of ingredients in order given.
Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread over the top as you would frosting.
Top with grated cheese.
Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours.
Cut out in squares.
Stays fresh longer since mayonnaise is not mixed into salad.
