"Willie Pearl'S" Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew meat
    4 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 onion, minced
    2 bay leaves
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    dash of allspice or cloves
    1 can tomato juice
Preparation
    Flour and brown meat in hot oil; add water, lemon juice, chopped onion, bay leaves and seasonings.
    Cover and let simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Take out bay leaves and add carrots, potatoes and can of tomato juice and cook until tender, about 45 minutes.
