Hobo Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. coffee
4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. raisins
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. broken nut meats
4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
cream cheese (for spreading)
Preparation

Bring coffee to a boil.
Pour coffee over baking soda and raisins; let stand overnight.
Add to this mixture the sugar, brown sugar, nuts, flour and salt; mix well.
Divide batter into 3 well-greased (1-pound size) coffee cans.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 65 minutes.
Let cool in cans.
Slice; spread with cream cheese between slices.
Yields 3 loaves.
