Ice Box Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 c. melted butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs (slightly beaten)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    3 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. chopped nuts, if desired
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine sugar, margarine, vanilla and eggs; blend well.
    Stir in flour, baking soda and salt; blend well. Stir in nuts.
    Divide dough into thirds on 3 sheets of waxed paper; shape each into a roll 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
    Wrap; refrigerate overnight or freeze at least 2 hours or until firm. When ready to bake, heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Slice dough into 1/4 inch slices and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
