Fried Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. warm water
5 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
6 c. flour, divided
6 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar and salt. Add 3 cups flour and beat until smooth. Add melted shortening and remaining flour. Mix well. Roll onto floured board to 1/4 inch thick, cut in 3-inch squares, and fry.
