Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. coffee
3 c. sifted cake flour
2 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add cocoa and coffee. Beat these ingredients.
Add soda to buttermilk and vanilla; add to cake flour.
Add all together and beat until mixture is creamy. Place in a greased pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
