After School Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 beaten eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. oatmeal
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Thoroughly
    cream
    shortening
    and sugars; add eggs and vanilla.
    Beat well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Add oatmeal and nuts; mix well.
    Shape in rolls;
    wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight.\tSlice
    1/4
    inch
    thick
    and
    bake
    on\tan ungreased cookie sheet in a moderate 350\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
