Banana Crunch Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. crushed chocolate wafers
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    3 Tbsp. light-colored corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 medium bananas, sliced
    1 tsp. rum flavoring
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1/2 c. peanut butter pieces
    1 tsp. shortening
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. In a medium bowl, combine crushed wafers, sugar, cocoa and vanilla. Stir in 1/2 cup melted butter. Press into bottom of a greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool slightly on a wire rack, about 10 minutes.
