Doris' Nutritious Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. rolled oats
    1/2 c. whole wheat flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 c. applesauce
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. raisins or chopped dates
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Stir together dry ingredients well, including sugar.
    Mix applesauce, eggs, oil, raisins and nuts; stir into dry ingredients.
    Mix only until blended.
    Pour into lined muffin cups (fill 1/2 full) and bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Makes 30.
