My Grandmother'S Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. large kernel rice, washed and drained
    1/4 c. chicken fat, melted, or 3 Tbsp. butter (in a heavy skillet)
    2 cans chicken broth (3 c., boiling)
Preparation
    Add rice to fat or butter.
    Braise well until every kernel of rice is coated with fat or butter.
    Pour boiling chicken broth over.
    Season with salt and pepper and 1 tablespoon of grated onion.
    Stir well.
