Spirited Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. blended whiskey
1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Toss dry ingredients to mix.
Cut in half the butter until the mixture resembles cornmeal.
Add whiskey and buttermilk and mix to form a dough.
Divide dough in half.
Roll each half into a sheet 1/4-inch thick.
Cream remaining butter and spread on one sheet. Cover with second sheet.
Cut into rounds with biscuit cutter. Bake on ungreased baking sheet in a very hot oven at 500\u00b0, about 10 minutes.
