Banana Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

1 c. plain all-purpose flour, sifted
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. whole bran
1 egg, beaten
1 c. mashed ripe banana (about three)
1/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. salad oil
Preparation

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Stir in bran.
Combine egg, banana, milk and salad oil.
Add liquid ingredients all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just till flour mixture is moistened.
Fill well-greased muffin pans 2/3 full.
Bake muffins in hot oven 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or till done. Makes about 12 muffins.
