Apple Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    4 tsp. baking powder
    3 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 egg
Preparation
    Bring to a
    boil
    1 1/2 cups sugar and water; set aside to cool.
    Mix
    together
    remaining
    ingredients.
    Mix together and roll
    to
    1/4-inch
    thickness.
    Slice
    apples over pastry. Sprinle with a little sugar, cinnamon and dot of butter.
    Roll like jelly roll and cut in
    slices.
    Put in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Pour liquid over this and bake at 350\u00b0 until apples are done.
