Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix, baked as directed
    1 large pkg. Cool Whip
    1 large Jell-O pie filling (vanilla), cooked, then cooled
    1 can strawberry or cherry pie filling (1 lb. 5 oz. size or two 1 lb. size cans)
Preparation
    Bake in two 9-inch layers in greased and floured pans.
    After cake is cool, take a thread and wrap around the layers and pull. This will cut the cake into 4 thin layers.
    Put 1 layer on bottom of punch bowl. Spread cooled vanilla pudding on that layer, then spread Cool Whip on top of pudding.
    Put pie filling on top of Cool Whip. Keep on doing the same with the other cake pieces. End with the pie filling on top.
    Dip with a spoon.
