Creole Shrimp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. oil
    2 cloves garlic
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 large can tomatoes
    2 bay leaves
    several dashes hot sauce or cayenne pepper
    salt and pepper to taste
    chili powder to taste
    2 stalks chopped celery
    1 or 2 lb. shrimp (already cooked and cleaned)
Preparation
    Heat oil in skillet (I use electric).
    Add garlic and onion. Cook until almost transparent, then add green pepper and cook until transparent.
    Add tomatoes, bay leaves, hot sauce or cayenne pepper, salt and pepper and chili powder.
    Simmer 30 to 40 minutes.
    About 20 minutes before serving, add chopped celery and cook until almost looses its crispness.
    Add shrimp.
    Simmer until shrimp has warmed.
    Serve over hot rice.
