Corn Fritters(Amish) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, separated
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 c. freshly grated or frozen corn, blended slightly
    oil or butter (for frying)
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff; set aside.
    Beat egg yolks, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, milk and sugar and add to the grated corn.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Drop by spoonfuls into greased frying pan.
    Turn when golden brown on bottom, then brown top.
    Serve warm with syrup.
    Makes 4 servings.
