Icebox Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. cucumbers, sliced
    2 c. vinegar
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salt (scant; not iodized)
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    3 large onions, chopped
    1 large bell pepper, chopped
Preparation
    Mix vinegar, sugar, salt and spices in a pan; set aside.
    Stir once in a while.
    While you prepare vegetables, mix good and place in large mouth gallon jar.
    Pour vinegar mixture over pickles and put in icebox.
    Stir pickles every day or two; best after 2 weeks.
