Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or margarine
2 medium onions, sliced
2 (13.3 oz.) cans Compliment brown sauce
4 slices French bread
1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
Preparation

In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter; stir in onions.
Cook until onions are translucent and slightly browned.
Stir in brown sauce and heat to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer.
When ready to serve, ladle into ovenproof bowls; top with bread and cheese.
Brown cheese under broiler.
Serve immediately.
