Ingredients
    3 c. buttermilk or sour milk*
    4 slices dry bread, broken
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    *Milk may be soured by use of tablespoon of white vinegar.
