City Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. cubed pork roast
    salt
    ground saltine crackers (approximately 1 to 2 pkg.)
    wooden skewers (about 6-inches long; get from deli; ask for them)
    1 lb. cubed beef roast
    pepper
    shortening
    approximately 3 eggs
Preparation
    Trim fat off the cubed pork and beef.
    Alternate pork and beef cubes on wooden skewers.
    Salt and pepper meat to taste.
    Dip skewered meat into beaten eggs, then coat with ground saltine crackers.
    Brown into skillet until brown on all sides.
    Put into a roaster.
    Add a little water to the roaster and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for approximately 3 hours or until meat is soft/done.
