Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    5 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Cut shortening into mixture. Add the buttermilk; mix with fork until a dough forms. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth. Pat dough to 3/4-inch thick. Cut out biscuits. Place 2-inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
