Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, diced
1 Tbsp. butter
3/4 lb. ground beef
2 c. tomato sauce (16 oz.)
12 oz. canned or frozen whole kernel corn
1/2 c. chopped ripe olives
1 clove minced garlic
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
Preparation

Saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender.
Add meat and brown.
Stir in tomato sauce, corn, olives, garlic, sugar, salt, pepper and chili powder.
Simmer for 20 minutes.
Add 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese; stir until melted.
Pour into greased 8 x 8-inch or 10 x 6-inch baking dish; set aside.
