Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. Italian sausage, sliced 1-inch thick
    1/4 c. butter
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 small green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
    1/3 c. green onion tops, chopped
    2 (15 oz.) cans New Orleans style kidney beans
    2 Tbsp. ketchup
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/8 tsp. red pepper
    1 c. raw rice
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute sausage and butter for 5 minutes.
    Remove sausage and drain.
    Saute vegetables in drippings for 5 minutes or until they begin to wilt.
    Add sausage, beans and remaining ingredients. Cover and bring to a boil.
    Simmer 20 to 30 minutes.
    Cook rice according to package.
    Serve red beans over rice.
    Feeds 8 people.
