Orange Date Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. white sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
4 c. sifted plain flour
4 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1 lb. dates, chopped fine
1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating between each addition.
Dissolve and stir soda in buttermilk. Alternate adding flour and buttermilk mixture.
Add rind, dates and nuts.
Bake in tiny buttered muffin tins at 325\u00b0 for approximately 20 minutes, or bake in greased and floured tube pan until a toothpick inserted into middle of cake comes out clean. While still hot, spoon over the glaze.
