Potato Soup With Sausage - cooking recipe

1 lb. sausage links, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1 c. sliced celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
1/2 c. water
4 medium potatoes, pared and diced
1 c. milk
1 c. sliced green beans

If using skim milk, omit water and add extra 1/2 cup milk.
