Viennese Crescents - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. confectioners sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. softened butter
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. blanched slivered almonds, ground
Preparation
    Grease large cookie sheet.
    In large bowl hand mix confectioners sugar with remaining ingredients until well blended. Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    With hands shape 1 teaspoon dough at a time into 1 1/2 inch crescents.
    Place on cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Bake 20 minutes or until lightly golden.
    Remove cookies to wire racks; cool completely.
    Store crescents in tightly covered containers.
    Just before serving sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Makes about 3 dozen.
