Nut Mix - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices white bread, toasted, sliced and cubed
    1/2 c. margarine
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 large bag walnuts
    1 small bag slivered almonds
    1 bag gold fish crackers
    1 c. dried apples
    1 c. dried apricots
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Saute bread cubes in 4 tablespoons of the margarine until golden brown.
    Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar; mix well.
    In a large (covered) bowl, combine the bread cubes, walnuts, apricots, almonds and apples.
    In a small saucepan combine remaining margarine, remaining sugar, cinnamon and salt.
    Heat until the sauce is smooth.
    Pour over mixture; coat evenly.
    Store tightly in a covered bowl in the refrigerator.
