Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. apples, chopped fine
    2 c. sugar (pour part over apples and let stand in mixing bowl)
    2 eggs, separated
    1 c. cooking oil
    1 c. pecans (optional)
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until stiff; add egg yolks and stir.
    Add cooking oil in egg mixture; beat well.
    Pour egg mixture over apples.
    Then add dry ingredients.
    Stir with spoon; pour in greased pan.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0 or until done.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes or longer.
