Jefferson Davis Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
2 c. packed light brown sugar
4 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. grated nutmeg
1 c. cream
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. broken pecans
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg yolks.
Mix flour, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg and add to butter and sugar mixture.
Stir in cream, chopped dates, raisins and pecans.
Fill the shell.
Bake the pie until set, about 30 minutes.
When cool, top with meringue and finish baking.
