Ingredients

4 onions
1 bell pepper, cut thin
3 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. vinegar
1/3 c. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 gal. thickly sliced cucumbers
Preparation

Alternate onions, bell pepper and cucumbers in a gallon jar. Mix sugar, vinegar, salt, celery seed, turmeric and mustard seed; bring to a boil and pour over pickles.
Refrigerate and mix often in a jar.
