Ingredients

1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. melted butter
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1 c. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 3/4 c. cold water
Preparation

Sift into bowl flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and cocoa. Stir in milk and butter.
Mix well, then add nuts.
Pour into buttered 9-inch square baking dish.
Mix brown sugar with cocoa and sprinkle over batter.
Pour cold water over all.
Bake for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Serve hot or cold with cream or ice cream.
