Cherry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening (Crisco or butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 c. unsweetened cherries, drained
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. vanilla
nuts (if desired)

Preparation

Mix ingredients and bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
Frost with Caramel Icing.
