Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter (part Crisco)
3 1/2 c. flour
1 egg yolk
1 whole egg
4 Tbsp. sugar
juice from 1 lemon
Preparation

Beat butter, Crisco and sugar.
Add egg yolk, egg and lemon juice.
Roll into balls.
Brush with egg white.
Roll in nuts that have been finely chopped.
Press thumb in center.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
When cold spread with jelly.
