Never Fail Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
3/4 c. white Karo
1/4 c. water
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. raw peanuts
4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. oleo
Preparation

Combine sugar, Karo, water, salt and peanuts in saucepan. Cook until temperature of 290\u00b0 on a candy thermometer (hard crack).
Remove from heat and quickly stir in soda, vanilla and oleo.
Beat vigorously and spread on two greased cookie sheets. When cool enough to handle, stretch out to make as thin as possible; then break into pieces.
