Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburg or ground turkey
    1 can tomatoes, cut up
    1/4 c. catsup
    1 qt. water
    1 small can mushroom pieces
    6 stalks celery, cut up
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1/2 c. barley (uncooked)
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 bouillon cubes (beef or chicken)
    2 bay leaves
    1 tsp. basil
    2 tsp. seasoned salt or 1 tsp. paprika
Preparation
    Brown meat; drain fat if necessary.
    Put ingredients all together; cook slowly.
    If too thick, add more water.
    Makes 8 servings.
    Freezes well.
