Pineapple Walnut Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    2 c. sugar
    4 beaten eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
    1 tall can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    pinch of salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/4 c. chopped dates (optional)
Preparation
    In a large bowl, pour melted margarine.
    Add sugar and mix well (not necessary to cream the sugar).
    Add beaten eggs.
    Mix well. Add all dry ingredients and stir well.
    Add drained pineapple.
    Add nuts.
    Dough will be lumpy.
    Grease and flour a 13 x 9-inch pan or line pan with foil and grease and flour.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
    Cool.
    Before serving, sprinkle top with powdered sugar.
    Cut into slices (fingers).
    These freeze well.
