Carrot Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. grated carrots
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. raisins
1 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
Preparation

Mix all ingredients together, except flour, baking soda and walnuts.
Boil 5 minutes.
Cool thoroughly.
Add flour, soda and walnuts.
Pour into greased and floured iron skillet.
Bake in moderate oven for 45 minutes.
