Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. oatmeal
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    2 eggs
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cocoa
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand for 10 minutes.
    Add both sugar and butter; let butter melt. Add eggs and mix well.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add to oatmeal mixture.
    Mix in 1/2 of the bag of chocolate chips.
    Pour into greased and floured cake pan (9 x 13-inches).
    Sprinkle remaining chips and nuts on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Top with whipped cream.
