Fruit Cocktail Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can (large) fruit cocktail
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Add well beaten egg to fruit cocktail including juice.
    Fold in the dry ingredients.
    Pour into 9 x 12-inch greased pan.
    Cover with brown sugar and nuts.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.
