Brown Muscle Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. whole wheat flour
    1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. soda
    4 c. lo-fat buttermilk
    applesauce
Preparation
    Combine flours, brown sugar, salt and soda in a large bowl. Add buttermilk gradually, mixing well after each addition.
    Add applesauce.
    Pour into 2 greased 5 x 9-inch loaf pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until loaves test done.
    Invert onto wire rack. Slice and serve warm.
    Yields 24 servings.
