Ingredients

1 c. butter (may use 1/2 margarine)
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
egg whites
chopped pecans
Preparation

Combine butter, sugar, cinnamon and salt.
Add egg yolk and flour.
Mix the dough until stiff.
Shape into log, about 2 x 18-inches.
Refrigerate.
Slice into 1/4-inch slices.
Brush with beaten egg whites.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 about 10 minutes.
