Swedish Christmas Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. stout
3 yeast cakes
1 tsp. salt
6 c. rye flour
3 c. white flour
1 c. molasses
1/4 c. butter
4 orange peels, chopped
2 Tbsp. fennel seed
Preparation

Mix yeast with 1 tablespoon sugar.
Melt butter, add stout and heat until lukewarm.
Pour into a large bowl.
Add molasses and half of flour; mix well.
Add yeast, salt, orange peels, fennel seed and some flour, gradually, leaving one cup of white flour. Beat well until dough is smooth and firm.
Cover with a clean towel and allow to rise in a warm place until almost doubled in bulk.
