Chocolate Caramel Layer Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bag or 14 oz. of caramels
    2/3 cup evaporated milk
    1 box of 18 1/2 oz. german chocolate cake mix
    3/4 cup butter or margarine softened
    1 cup chopped nuts
    1 package or 6 oz. chocolate chips
    1/3 cup packed brown sugar
    1/3 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup soft butter
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 cup unsifted flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. bake powder
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Stir in 1 cup quick cooking rolled oats, 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
    Spread in ungreased 9-inch square pan.
    Sprinkle top with 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
