Picadillo Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground meat (extra lean)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (4 oz.) jar chopped pimientos
    2 1/2 oz. pkg. slivered almonds
    4 oz. can mushroom pieces
    1 (4 oz.)can chopped ripe olives
    1 (10 oz.) can Ro-Tel tomatoes, diced
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. green pepper
    2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 c. water
    1 lb. box Velveeta cheese
    1 c. golden raisins
Preparation
    Brown beef; drain any grease.
    Add remaining ingredients. simmer 2 hours, stirring frequently.
    Serve in chafing dish with tortilla chips.
