Braided Sweet Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    3 eggs, beaten
    5 to 6 c. all-purpose flour
    almonds
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Stir in sugar, margarine and salt.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in lukewarm milk mixture, beaten eggs and half the flour. Beat until smooth.
    Stir in remaining flour to make a stiff but sticky dough.
    Cover and let rise until doubled.
