Posole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. olive oil
1 medium white onion, diced
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 1/2 lb. ground pork or 3/4 lb. ground pork and 3/4 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. ground oregano
1 (15 oz.) can hominy (undrained)
Preparation

Heat oil in large skillet. Add onion, garlic salt, ground meat, cumin and oregano. Saut over medium heat until meat is thoroughly cooked and the onions are lightly browned. Add hominy; cover skillet and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve in bowls with topping of choice such as sour cream, guacamole or tortilla strips. Serves 6.
