Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Heat chocolate and shortening on low heat until melted.
Remove from heat.
Mix in sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Stir in all ingredients.
Spread in greased pan and bake 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies pull away from the pan.
Cut into about 2-inch squares.
Makes 16 brownies.
